At Liberty Church we’ve been working through a series of messages from the 17th chapter of John’s Gospel. In this beautiful chapter we catch a glimpse of Jesus’ prayer life as he prays for himself, for his disciples and for us – his future church.
Just as Jesus was sent by God the Father we have also been sent. We’ve been sent by Jesus to live out the message of Jesus in Amsterdam.
As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world (John 17.18)
As His future church in our present city we get to know God and be missionaries to our culture. We’re called to build true family in the city, established in the unity we have in Jesus. We are to live as a faithful minority in the city, standing for the ultimate truth and to be witnesses to everyone around us.
